October 3rd Shasta Technology Fair

The technology behind the new S.E.T.I. project at the Berkeley Radio Observatory in Hat Creek will be one of the subjects covered in Break Out sessions at the Shasta Technology Fair, Friday October 3rd at Simpson University. Garrett Keating will be speaking on the satellite array, and the technology that will help us find ET if they exist.
Dan Morrow of Optest, will address Home Base to Home Run speaking about the challenges of exponential growth in a technology based business.
Mobile computing, and office interconnectivity will be other subjects covered by the Break Out Sessions.

Why We Have the Brown Bag Luncheons

The luncheons are held the fourth Friday of every month, except in November and December, and we are trying to accomplish two things.

1. We want to provide value to the Redding technology community in the form of educational opportunities. We are all busy and this is a chance to learn something over a lunch hour that will hopefully help you do what you do better.

2. We want all of the individuals and businesses involved in technology in this area to have a chance to network. In fact, just show up with some business cards prepared to introduce yourself briefly, and then schedule a bit of time after lunch to network with other attendees one on one. If you would like to present your business to the Tech community in a more formal way, talk to us about speaking at a Brown Bag Lunch.
