In this series of 2 lectures we will review the cultural orientation and business practices of a number of European, Latin and Asian countries, with emphasis on how different cultures process information, their negotiation strategies, values systems as well as business entertaining do’s and don’ts.
PABLO D’ANNA - Bio
Pablo recently retired from RF Micro Devices, a company that provides high tech components for wireless communications systems, after this company bought his previous employer, Sirenza in 2007. Before RF Micro, he participated in two start-ups, the latest one: Xemod sold to Sirenza in 2002, and the previous one, Spectrian, went public in 1994.
In the 1980’s Pablo founded an international consulting firm that assisted chip fabrication companies with semiconductor technology. He has also held engineering and staff management positions at many high technology companies in Silicon Valley including Lockheed Martin, Varian, Raytheon and Fairchild Semiconductors.
Pablo has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCSB, in Santa Barbara and a Master in International Business from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. Pablo hails from Argentina, was a Rotarian in the Silicon Valley for 15 years,, and moved to Redding from the Bay Area with his wife eight years ago.
