Dave Scott’s family arrived in the Redding area in 1851. Dave graduated high school, and got his AA at Shasta College before getting his BS at the University Nevada Reno. Dave worked for the National CPA firm of KPMG in San Francisco, Gandy, Scott & Company in Redding and later founded DH Scott & Company LLP

Dave is active on numerous non-profits and is past Chairman of the Boards of the EDC, Chamber of Commerce and Grant & Resource Center (now the Shasta Regional Community Foundation). Dave has received numerous awards for community service.

Dave also serves on the board of the Redding Bank of Commerce and the Redding Rancheria Economic Development Corporation.

Why We Have the Brown Bag Luncheons

The luncheons are held the fourth Friday of every month, except in November and December, and we are trying to accomplish two things.

1. We want to provide value to the Redding technology community in the form of educational opportunities. We are all busy and this is a chance to learn something over a lunch hour that will hopefully help you do what you do better.

2. We want all of the individuals and businesses involved in technology in this area to have a chance to network. In fact, just show up with some business cards prepared to introduce yourself briefly, and then schedule a bit of time after lunch to network with other attendees one on one. If you would like to present your business to the Tech community in a more formal way, talk to us about speaking at a Brown Bag Lunch.
